Imperialism, Russia and Syria

Abstract

The question of Syria and attitudes to Western intervention, Russian intervention, the SyrianRevolution and the Assad regime have generated much heated debate on the left internationallyand in Ireland. We are responding to this debate with articles by John Molyneux on imperialismand Russia and by Memet Uludag on the Assad regime and their joint article on the politicalconclusions that follow from this analysis.
